Healing Arts

At WholeLife Integrative Therapy, we believe healing happens most fully when the mind, body, and nervous system are supported together. In addition to psychotherapy, we offer a range of healing arts and mindfulness-based experiencesdesigned to support grounding, regulation, and deeper connection with yourself.

These offerings may be experienced on their own or as a complement to counseling. They are not a replacement for psychotherapy or medical care, but supportive pathways that invite restoration, presence, and balance.

Mindfulness & Meditation

Mindfulness is the practice of bringing gentle, intentional awareness to the present moment — noticing thoughts, sensations, and emotions with curiosity rather than judgment. It is not about forcing calm or clearing the mind, but about learning to relate to your inner experience in a more compassionate and steady way.

Our mindfulness offerings may include:

  • Guided meditation experiences

  • Mindfulness workshops focused on emotional regulation and grounding

  • Practices that integrate breath, awareness, and body sensation

These experiences are accessible to beginners and supportive for those deepening an existing practice. They are especially helpful for managing stress, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and the effects of trauma.

Yoga & Movement Experiences

Yoga offerings at WholeLife are trauma-informed, accessible, and rooted in mindful movement rather than performance or perfection. Practices emphasize choice, breath awareness, and gentle movement to support nervous system regulation and embodied presence.

Yoga offerings may include:

  • Seasonal yoga workshops

  • Gentle and restorative yoga classes

  • Yoga nidra and guided relaxation experiences

  • Intention-setting (sankalpa) and reflection-based practices

These experiences are designed to help you reconnect with your body in a way that feels safe, supportive, and empowering.

Reiki & Energy-Based Support

Reiki is a gentle, energy-based modality that supports deep relaxation and nervous system settling. Many people experience Reiki as calming and grounding, helping the body release tension and access a sense of inner ease.

Reiki offerings may include:

  • Individual Reiki sessions

  • Reiki integrated into yoga nidra or meditation experiences

  • Group Reiki offerings during special events or workshops

Reiki can be a meaningful complement to mindfulness, yoga, and therapeutic work, particularly when rest, regulation, and restoration are needed.

Locations & Formats

Healing arts offerings are available in both group and individual formats.

  • Group yoga classes, workshops, and events are offered at Sterling Yoga and other local wellness studios, creating opportunities for shared practice, connection, and community.

  • Individual mindfulness-based sessions and Reiki offerings are available in our office, providing personalized, one-on-one support in a calm and confidential setting.

Both formats are guided by the same intention: creating space for presence, grounding, and nervous system ease.

Why Integrative Practices Matter

Healing is not only cognitive — it is also physiological and relational. Mindfulness, yoga, and energy-based practices can help cultivate:

  • Greater nervous system regulation

  • Increased body awareness and embodiment

  • Improved emotional resilience

  • A stronger sense of safety and self-connection

  • Deeper self-compassion and presence

These practices are especially supportive for individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, chronic stress, or life transitions.
